Delta Land & Community is a group of farmers, entrepreneurs and others creating new business ventures, cooperatives and policy change. Members assist each other in overcoming barriers to resilient agroecosystems. Our indicators of success are ecologically sound locally-owned, value-added (LOVA) enterprises especially including new farms. In existence for 20 years, we have recently expanded our work beyond the Delta states to the adjacent Ozarks and with consultancies in many African and former Soviet Union countries.
The book "Southern Resilience and Sustainability: Food Systems, Farms, and Communities" can be read at this website. The book is over 300 pages with fourteen chapters and nine case studies, all available to read online.
